Allen Dale Gibson, 65, of Reno, went to our heavenly father on Friday, December 16, 2016. Allen’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017. He was born on March 19, 1951 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Dale and Deon Gibson.

Allen was an attorney, graduating Magna Cum Laude of his law class at the University of Utah Law School in Salt Lake City. He lived and worked for many years in Reno and Las Vegas for the Attorney General Office, City of Reno and his private practice before moving to Battle Mountain and working as the Deputy District Attorney for Lander County for five years. He married Phyllis Good on June 5, 1999 in Battle Mountain. His passion in life was his wife, family, dogs and cooking.

Allen is survived by his wife, Phyllis Good Gibson of Reno; sister Wanda Gibson McCray and husband, Fredrick; nephews, Alex and Zack McCray; niece, Danielle White; and brother-in-law, Ronnie White all of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Dale and Deon Gibson, and his sister, Michelle Gibson White.

Allen leaves you with these thoughts: I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, to leave an afterglow of smiles now that my life is done, to leave an echo whispering softy down the ways of happy times, laughing times and bright, sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve for me to dry before the sun and there to be happy memories for you I leave behind.

Allen is missed by his family and many friends, he is now at peace.
