Anthony (Tony) Joesph Santos, 88, of Winnemucca, NV died at Harmony Manor on December 12, 2016 after losing his battle with cancer.
Tony was born on November 7, 1928 in Lovelock, NV to Manuel Joesph and Adelaide Serpa Santos. He was married three times and spent most of his life living between Lovelock and Winnemucca.
He was a loving father to many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always a hard worker. He drove truck for most of his life and latter managed the Santos family farm in Winnemucca where he grew alfalfa, and raised and bred sheep and goats. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and enjoyed doing this as often as possible.
Tony was able to cross off his bucket list to help fly a plane. One day with the help of the staff from the Beehive Homes of Winnemucca he was able to complete that wish and was so happy he was able to do it. Tony always looked forward to attending The Lovelock Portuguese Fiesta held every spring.
He is survived by his children Tammie (Lathan) Godfrey, Toni (Steve) Call, Phillip (Valorie) Santos, Cindy Santos, Cory Santos, John Mcerquriga, Jim Mcerquriga, Candy (Fred) Paskell, Raelene Brown and Theresa Taylor: grand children Shantell, Antonia, Vernon, Alan, Tucker, Justin, Jolena, Markie, Deserie, Candy Rae, Kari, Jason, Jeffrey, Scott and Ryan; great grandchildren Tre, Shya, Aries, Skylanne, Neveah, Tristan, Amber, Nolan, Jade, Austin, Wyatt, Kaylee, Andrea, Amanda, Quinton, Marcus, Taylor, Ryker, Rexton, Keenan,Kadon, Kinsley, Odyn, Brycen and Quintyn; sister Mary DalPorto, nieces Frankie, Megan and Karen.
Tony was preceded in death by his Grandparents Mr. and Mrs, Santos of Portugal, his parents Manual and Adelaide Santos, wife’s Lois Santos and Barbara Markum, brothers Frank and Joe Santos, sisters Inez Androssi, Marlane Swappe son John Mcerquriga and grandson Justin Sharp.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends, but he will never be forgotten, He is now in Heaven with his Lord and all of his family and friends that have passed before him.
