Battle Mountain wrestlers finish ninth at Mustang Invitational in Lovelock

A small part of the Battle Mountain High School wrestling team made the trip to Lovelock this past Saturday for the Mustang Invitational that featured more than 20 teams from around Nevada.

With a limited squad, the Longhorns finished ninth with 69 points. Tristin Cordingley won his weight class at 182 pounds. Cordingley won his first two matches by pin. In the final he took on Fernley's Arsenio Reyes, where he won by medical forfeit. Reyes was injured in the match and could not continue. Fabian Castaneda finished fourth at 152 pounds and Daegen McClary reached the consolation semifinals at 145 pounds.
