The Battle Mountain High School junior varsity girls basketball won two of three games at its home invitational this past weekend.
The Lady Longhorns lost their opener 39-38 to Carlin as Drue Domagala led with 16 points. Battle Mountain bounced back to beat Round Mountain 36-24 behind 12 points from Kira Smith.
Battle Mountain added a 36-29 victory over Tonopah as Kaylee Narramore scored six points. The Lady Longhorns ended the tourney with a 38-36 loss to Wells. Smith had a team-high 11 points. Battle Mountain opens league play on Saturday in Incline.
