Christian Valentine Rico pleaded nolo-contendere to domestic battery. The plea resulted a fine of $340, a court order to domestic violence counseling for six months, 48 hours of community service and a sentence to serve 30 days in jail with credit given for 13 days time served. The balance of 17 days are suspended for 12 months under the condition that there be no violation of laws other than minor traffic offenses. Additional charges of domestic battery and minor in possession of alcohol by consumption were dismissed by the D.A.
