The Battle Mountain Raceway held their third annual Frank Iturriaga Memorial Race on Saturday. The races commemorate Frank Iturriaga, who passed away three years ago, for his dedication, racing and sponsoring the races through Napa.
Each year, Battle Mountain racers sign a flag for the Irurriaga family to have as a memento.
Iturriaga’s children, Asier and Patxi, quite enjoy the thrill of racing and seeing how their father has left behind a legacy that they will carry on. Asier said she wishes she could do this forever.
The awards, donated by T & T Welding, were given out by Asier, Patxi and their cousin Ashlyn Ramos. They also gave out toys throughout the races to the all the kids present at the races.
