Charles Edwin Rock was born in Hillsboro, Missouri on June 19, 1933 to Henry Robert Rock and Ethel Mae Henshaw. He is survived by the love of his life, Ruth Ann Matheis Rock whom he married on 11/27/1954 and was devoted to for 61 years.
He is also survived by his four children; Deborah Cardoza, Kathryn Harmon, Guy Rock and Timothy Rock, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as his loving sister LaVerne LaClear and brother Wesley Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren; Jeremiah and Jacob.
He was an auto mechanic for 28 years before making the decision to follow his dream of owning his own business. He successfully owned and operated Service Tile of Apple Valley until his retirement to Kingston, Nevada where he became known as the “Sidewalk Superintendent” and enjoyed a small town life where everyone knows everyone and the deer and rabbits outnumber the human inhabitants.
There has never been a more loving or loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother or friend.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at noon in the Town of Kingston, at the Kingston Church. All those who knew “Charlie” are welcome.
