The annual "Relay for Life" walk, which is planned for Saturday, Aug. 6 starting at noon and running to midnight.
This event will be held at Lowry High School, and brings together teams who walk continuously around the track. Currently, there are 15 teams with 72 participants.
As of Thursday, Aug. 4, these teams have raised $15,646 for the American Cancer Society.
The opening ceremony kicks off the event at noon, followed by a Survivor's Lap and Caregiver's Lap at 12:30 p.m. The popular Luminaria Ceremony is at 10 p.m., and the event closes with a ceremony at 11:30 p.m.
