Ada Marie Toles, 65, of Winnemucca passed away on July 26, 2016, at Humboldt General after a brief illness.
Ada was born August 4, 1950 in Ely, NV, to Gordon Palmer and Virginia Henroid Taylor. She lived in Ely, NV, where she graduated from White Pine High School, Rapid City, SD before moving to Winnemucca where she met and married Alan Toles on September 22, 2000.
Ada worked in the food service industry for thirty five years as a server and chef. She helped organize the Ruth Town Picnic in Ruth, NV and was proud of this accomplishment. Ada enjoyed reading, sewing, watching movies and cooking. Her greatest passion was caring for animals of all varieties. There wasn’t a stray animal that didn’t have to look any further for a meal or a hug any further then Ada’s back door. She especially doted on her beloved mini dachshund, Alada.
Ada is survived by her husband Alan Toles and her sister Marilyn Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon Palmer and Virginia Taylor, her much loved brother Ronald (“R-Gut”) Taylor and her cherished furry companion Kelsey.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Humboldt General Hospital including the ambulance crew, the emergency room and ICU staff.
As per Ada’s request there will be no services.
