Diana Lecumberry passed away March 28, 2016. A Winnemucca native, she was born on October 27, 1948 to Pete and Gene Lecumberry. She attended local schools and received a BA degree from UNR in 1970. She lived and worked in Reno until 1995, when she moved home to Winnemucca. Diana worked for Santa Fe Gold for a few years until deciding to attend massage school in Grass Valley, California. After graduation she returned to Winnemucca and worked as a massage therapist for ten years until her retirement.
She is survived by her brother Larry Lecumberry (Laura), two nieces, AnnaRae Young and Sabrina Uhlmann (Jake), two nephews, Lazaro Lecumberry (Rhona) and Christopher Lecumberry (Nicole) two great nieces, Kendall and Kylie Lecumberry and six great nephews, Jake Manzo, Tanner Lecumberry, Kody Young, Chase Young, Kyle Young and Jase Uhlmann, and two great-great nieces, Alexzandra and Hailey.
Aunt Diana will be remembered for her quick wit and warm personality. She was well-versed in a multitude of topics and this translated into being a great conversationalist. Hours were spent with family and friends discussing everything from spirituality to fine wine. Her generosity and insight will be held in fond memory by those of us who loved her. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
