Obituary: Richard A. “Dick” Giannotti

Richard Giannotti passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2016 in Nampa, Idaho surrounded by family.

Dick was born on May 18, 1935 to Adolph and Avelia Giannotti. He was the first generation Italian in his family to be born in the United States.

He lived in Reno most of his life. He worked in the gaming industry and always loved his work. He said he never needed to travel because he met so many interesting people from all over the world.

He loved sports, especially golf, and even coached his daughter Nicole’s softball team.

Dick and his family moved to Winnemucca, Nevada in 1985 and lived there for over 14 years.

After his retirement, he moved to Nampa, Idaho to spend more time with his daughter and his two grandsons.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, numerous family members, and his daughter Samantha.

Dick is survived by his daughter Nicole, son-in-law Kenny Beeson, grandsons Ryan and Brandon Beeson and ex-wife Virginia Giannotti.

Dick was a gentle giant of a man and his passing is a great loss. He will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows cemetery in Reno, Nevada on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 11am.
