The school board’s regular monthly meeting is Wed. April 13, at 4:30.
The meeting includes special recognition for Chad Peters, followed by the superintendent’s report and approval of warrants.
Agenda items:
• Approval of the McDermitt Improvement Grant
• Lowry High School presentation
• Expansion of dual credit options with Great Basin College
• 2016-17 school calendar proposal
• Review of proposed FY17 staffing plan
• Review of FY17 tentative budget.
Public comment is allowed at the beginning and end of the meeting. Meeting location is the school district meeting room upstairs on the Fourth St. side of the Winnemucca Junior High School building.
On Saturday, April 16, the school board will meet again in a more informal “retreat” type meeting, still held at the school district meeting room upstairs on the Fourth St. side of the WJHS building.
The retreat agenda includes an opportunity for public comment at both the beginning and end of the meeting, and just two general agenda items:
• Roles and responsibilities of the board of trustees
• Applying the priorities defined during Jan.5 board retreat.
