It’s no secret you save when you buy on sale, or that the best sales happen after each season, as stores make room for new inventory. In that tradition, Elko’s Downtown Business Association is holding a Spring Sweep Sale this weekend, on Saturday, Apr. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Businesses will be clearing out winter items to make room for spring and summer.
After you’ve shopped, you can participate in a Wine Walk that starts at the Commercial Casino. For $25, you receive your wine glass for sampling and a list of stops. Wines and ciders are featured on the self-guided tour.
If you’d rather not sample the wines, but still want to participate, there is a $10 designated driver cup for non-alcoholic beverages available at different locations. All participants must be at least 21 years of age.
Please remember to drink responsibly and moderately. Also, don’t drink and drive.
