Naveran throws for three touchdowns

The Battle Mountain High School junior varsity football team continued its winning ways, with an easy 53-12 win over American Falls on Friday night in Idaho.

Gabe Naveran threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns from his quarterback position. He found Miles Piramide, Mason Fuller and Peyton Ayers on the touchdown throws. Reese Artz was the leading receiver with 56 yards. Piramide had 44 yards receiving.

While throwing for two touchdowns, Naveran added 69 yards on the ground and two more scores.

Ayers ran for 78 yards and one touchdown and Bobby Kester had one touchdown and 13 yards rushing. Artz gained 27 yards on the ground and Ryan Ostler added nine, as the Longhorns rushed for 196 yards as a team.

Erik Martinez had a team-high 12 tackles to go with a fumble recovery and Marcus Jury had three tackles and an interception. Ostler had 11 tackles, Fuller and Ayers eight each, Artz seven, Clark five and Chris Figueroa and Piramide had four tackles apiece. Treyor Delgado had three tackles along with Jose Figueroa, Naveran and Kester and Chris Taylor finished with one tackle.

Battle Mountain travels to Lincoln County on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
