BMHS golfers finish third

Longhorns’ Squires is low medalist

Battle Mountain had the top two individual scores at Ruby Mountain Golf Course, as Division III schools visited Elko on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Kylee Squires paced the field with a 99 for low medalist honors, while teammate Kennedie Davis tied for second at 101. As a team, the Lady Longhorns placed third.

Rounding out the scores for Battle Mountain were Lynzee Devlin (120), Kali Kester (137) and Adrian Burkhart (144).

“The girls played much better this week,” said BMHS coach Paul Tremayne. “We need to get bottom kids’ scores down if we want to compete, hopefully, at our home tournament this week.”

Battle Mountain hosts the Division III on Thursday at Mountain View Golf Course at 9:30 a.m.
