Mina May Cornelison Hayes died August 20, 2015 in Elko Nevada
Mina May Cornelison was born in Howard, Wyoming in Weston County on February 21, 1916. Her parents were Jess M. Cornelison of Texas and Carrie Wilson Cornelison of Iowa. Her father was a rancher and Mina rode her horse to school everyday.
Mina married Harold E. Hayes in Wyoming in about 1936. they had two daughters, Cara Lee and Lila Mae.
While in wyoming, Harold drilled oil wells and after moving to Winnemucca about 1972, started drilling for water. Mina kept busy watching her children and grandchildren grow. She enjoyed her family a lot, and loved horses too.
Mina was one of Jehovah’s witnesses and was very active in her faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Mina are her grandsons Jerry Lee Moritz, Harold Leroy Moritz, Chip Kilpack, Jeffrwy Kilpack, Adam Killpack, grandaughter Julie Woods and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mina was precede in death by her parents, her daughters Cara Lee Hayes and Lila Mae Williamson; grandsons George E. Moritz, Cody James Kilpack, Cole James Kilpack and her husband Harold E. Hayes.
There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00pm Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 3463 N. Highland Drive, Winnemucca Nevada.
Many thanks to all who helped care for Mina, It made her last days more comfortable.
