The Battle Mountain High School boys soccer team came away with a third-place finish at the White Pine Invitational this past weekend in Ely. The Longhorns defeated The Meadows in a penalty kick shootout and also earned a victory over the Elko JV.
The Longhorns did suffer aloss to West Wendover, a fellow member of the Division III North.
Battle Mountain travels to Elko today for a 5 p.m. match and then opens league on Friday at Incline at 5 p.m. The Lake Tahoe road trip continues on Saturday with an 1 p.m. match against North Tahoe.
