The Lowry High School JV football team fell in its season opener at home to Fernley 50-6 this past Friday night. The Vaqueros jumped to an early lead off a punt block and never trailed. G.W. Coleman scored the lone touchdown for Lowry in the fourth quarter. The Buckaroos travel to Truckee next Saturday for an 11 a.m. kickoff with the Wolverines.
