BMHS golfers finish third at Chimney Creek

Squires shoots 107 to place third

For the first official time this season, the Battle Mountain High School girls golf team got a chance to see what the rest of the Division III North has to offer.

The Lady Longhorns traveled to Wells last Thursday and finished third with a four-person score of 479. Battle Mountain had two golfers finish in the top four at Chimney Creek Golf Course. Kylee Squires was third at 107 and Kennedie Davis was fourth at 109.

A pair of Lady Longhorns were playing in their first tournament as freshmen. Lynzee Devlin carded a 124 and Adrian Burkahrt shot 139.

Battle Mountain is back on the course today at West Wendover, starting at 10 a.m.
