The Battle Mountain High School boys soccer team netted wins over the Lowry JV and Elko JV this past weekend at the Spring Creek JV Jamboree.
The Longhorns beat the Buckaroos 2-1 on Friday afternoon and shut out Elko 3-0 on Saturday.
Battle Mountain will be back on the road this weekend for the White Pine Invitational in Ely.
The Longhorns will travel to Elko to face the Indians JV on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m.
Battle Mountains opens Division III North action on Friday, Sept. 11, at Incline at 5 p.m. and at North Tahoe on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m.
The Longhorns play their first six league games of the season on the road.
The first home match is not slated to take place until Wednesday, Oct. 2, against Elko at 4 p.m.
