The Western Raptors, an education program by HawkWatch International, will be at the Battle Mountain Library (625 Broad Street) on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
The team will provide raptor education programs at local schools with a live bird of prey in order to offer the general public an opportunity to see a live raptor up close.
Western Raptors is an hour-long presentation that discusses the common raptor species throughout the West, how to identify them and what makes them unique. The free programs are sponsored by Barrick Gold.
