Pugh’s Crew won the inaugural State Farm Shootout this past weekend at Spare Time Bowl in Winnemucca. There were 16 local teams of three players that bowled 12 games over Saturday and Sunday, with a $3,400 prize fund.
Pughs’s Crew won the top prize of $1,100. Team members included Julie Pugh, Bob Meckley and Bruce Haylett.
STB (Eric Peters, Rose Curtis, Rob Stepper) finished second and earned $800. Steel City Slammers (Sean Marcinik, Lyle Avery, Matt Morgan) placed third and won $600. SSR (Scott Ashby, Steve West) was fourth and won $320.
The high team game went to RMC (Rudy Aspiazu, Melissa Andrews, Chuck Gregory) with a 619 series. Gary Hudgins had the high individual game, with a 259. The high average out of the money went to Kyle Mayhew at 209.42. Brian Rucker had the high individual points won/out of the money with 20.
On Saturday, Steel City Slammers had 55 wins and 4,389 total pins. 4 B’s & 1 S (Shelly Graham, Jerry Jakich, Craig McLinden) had 4,278 pins, and Boom or Bust (Rebecca Azurmendi, Mike Solberg and Andy McGilvery) were third with 4,118 pins.
