HE DANCED WITH EVERY GIRL AT THE DANCE
When Joe Dufurrena was about 14 his brother came to breakfast the morning after an FFA dance and said, “Mom, Joe embarrassed me last night at the dance. He danced with every girl!”
As a girl that age I, his mother, attended two dances at the old Nixon Hall and no one asked me to dance either time. What a blow that was to a 14 year-old girl! God bless a guy like Joe!
Joe’s family appreciates the friends who supported Joe his last painful year with cancer. Dr. Kracaw, a classmate and friend of Joe’s, gave him the best of care. His caregiver, Amy Amrheim, who was recommended by Hospice, was Joe’s “best friend”. His friends, old and new, visited and supported him. He received excellent medical care at the Winnemucca Hospital and at Reknown Hospital in Reno.
We will miss him, but know that he is now at peace.
