The best of the best Mama “Moo”, beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend left this earth to be with her God on Oct. 4, 2015.
A fourth generation Nevadan, Jeanne Lyn Fettic was born on Aug. 9, 1954, to Neale and Patsy Campbell Fettic in Reno, Nev. Her early years were spent in the Gardnerville/Genoa area.
When Jeanne was in the third grade, the Fettic and Heitman families moved to Winnemucca and Willow Creek Ranch in Orovada, which made for treasured years. While attending school in Winnemucca, Jeanne was active in the youth center, the Lowry Buckarettes and many other organizations. She was a proud member of the Lowry High School class of 1973.
Jeanne continued her education in Alabama and became a licensed cosmetologist. Upon returning to Nevada, Jeanne lived in Paradise Valley and later moved back to Winnemucca where she made her home.
Her talents were many and she loved having a sense of accomplishment. She enjoyed working in her yard, crafting and tending to her animals. Her 22 years of employment at C.B. Brown gave her pride in helping her community.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, the highlight of her life and best friend, Monica Marie Miller, her sister, Jody (Jim) Copenhaver and family; and her brother, Bob (Marlene) Fettic and family.
Please join Jeanne’s family for a celebration of life, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. at Winnemucca Christian Fellowship, 4380 South Grass Valley Road, Winnemucca. Burial will follow in Genoa, Nev., at 4 p.m.
Jeanne’s kindness, caring nature, love and wisdom will be forever missed. She always gave a hug to those she loved as she left them because she believed “you never know what tomorrow will bring.”
