The Battle Mountain High School girls golf team is in third place after the first day of the NIAA Division III State Championships at White Pine Golf Course in Ely on Monday.
Incline is the first-day leader at 395, with the Highlanders’ Kennedy Kohn leading the way on the individual side with a 93. West Wendover is second at 468 and Battle Mountain is third with a 490. Yerington (583) and Tonopah (762) round out the top five.
Kennedie Davis led the Lady Longhorns with a 103, Kylee Squires is at 117 and Lynzee Devlin (130) and Kali Kester (140) complete the scores for Battle Mountain.
West Wendover’s Sarah Isaacs is second overall ay 94, Wells’ Kaitlyn Alton (97) sits in third and Sierra Lutheran’s Kami Niles (98) and Wells’ Kirsten Allen (99) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
The second day of the state tournament was held Tuesday and full results were not available at press time. Complete results can be found at www.niaa.com.
