The Battle Mountain High School girls golf team recorded a second-place finish in Round Mountain last Thursday. The Lady Longhorns shot a score of 426, to fall short by four strokes.

Kennedie Davis shot a season-best 97, as did Lynzee Devlin with a 106.

“The girls played pretty well,” said BMHS coach Paul Tremayne. “They played in very windy conditions.”

Battle Mountain rounds out the regular season this week in Ely and will get ready for the state championships next week in Ely as well. The 36-hole tournament takes place Oct. 7-8.
