The Battle Mountain High School track and field team made the short trip to Winnemucca last Saturday. Around 15 teams from Division I-A, II and IV competed on the day. Andrew Cox and Wayne Piramide had the best finishes on the day for the Longhorns. The Battle Mountain boys finished seventh in the team standings and the girls were eighth. The Longhorns travel to Fernley on Friday and Saturday for the Division III Regional Championships. Action begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
