Obituary: Treva Faye (Mayo) Garcia

Treva Faye (Mayo) Garcia of Superior Montana, passed away at 75 years old of pancreatic cancer on May 29, 2015 at the Saint Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, MT. She was the daughter of Jasper Truman and Maude Ola Mae (Murphy) Mayo.

She was preceded in death by her father Jasper Truman and mother Maude Ola Mae (Murphy) Mayo, ex-husband; William L. Garcia, son, John W. Garcia and daughter Barbara K. Garcia.

Treva is survived by her survived by: Vance L. Garcia and Debbie of Mullan, ID and William Roy (Chance) and Karrie Garcia of Winnemucca, NV, Sarah & Don Wiggins of Kuna, ID and Bonnie & Scott Samms of Winnemucca, NV and her long-time partner Van Scott of Superior MT. Grandchildren: Melissa, Nick and Olivia Garcia of Mullan, Idaho. Leslie & John Gwartney of Moscow, Idaho. Skye Samms, Jade Austin & Hailey Samms of Winnemucca, NV. Cody Garcia of Orofino, ID. Kristine Garcia of Winnemucca, NV & Renee Kidd of Alexandria, VA.

She was born at home in Wickes, Arkansas March 18, 1940. Treva was best known to her friends and family for her free spirt and great love of the outdoors; especially gardening, picking berries and mushrooms, which she used in her “from scratch recipes”; which were widely admired by those who knew her. Treva loved to travel; over the course of her life she visited most of the United States. She loved North Idaho and Montana and returned to the area many times and called the area Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at the top of Stevens’ Peak outside Mullan, Idaho on July 25, 2015, 1:00 pm at the request of our Mother.
