The Battle Mountain 9-10-year-old Little League All-Stars will are playing in Spring Creek this week for the District 3 Tournament.
Walker River (Yerington), Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek), White Pine (Ely), Silverada (Dayton), High Desert (Fernley) and Winnemucca are also competing.
Battle Mountain took on host Ruby Mountain in the opening round on Tuesday and results were not available at press time. Elko and Walker River, Silverada and Winnemucca and White Pine and High Desert were the other first round match-ups.
If Battle Mountain defeated Ruby Mountain, they will play the winner of White Pine and High Desert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. If Battle Mountain lost they will play on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The tournament runs all week with the championship game set for 8 a.m. Sunday. If needed, a second title game will take place.
The winner advances to the state tournament in Las Vegas later in July.
