Obituary: Ray Hardy

Ray Hardy was born Sept 9, 1940 in Ogden, Utah. Died at his homestead June 10, 2015 South of Golconda, Nev. Ray was a descendant of pioneers who crossed the plains with wagons and handcarts.

He enjoyed life as much as anyone in this world. He lived a good, full life.

Raised his family married Kate Walker in 1981. He looked forward to dying and lived more than most. Ray won bareback bronc ridings, and bull ridings, treed mountain lions and roped wild horses. He and his wife built their own home.

He served in the 82nd airborne and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife Cathy (Kate) Hardy. RD (Kori), of Lovelock, Jenifer Hardy, of Pahrump, and stepson Duncan (Angela) Miller, step- daughter Lorena Miller, all of Spring Creek. Stepson Billy Hardy, (Brandy) of Oregon; and grandchildren Tye, Colt, Cashlan, Page (Painer), Sage (Spanky), Allyson, Cody, Hunter, Tucker, Casen (Moose), Pasen, Makenna, Tarryn, and Billy Ray.

Services will be held June 17, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
