JoAnn Miller, 73, died Monday, May 25th, 2015, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was surrounded by an absolutely incredible staff that did everything they could for their amazing patient. More importantly she was surrounded by her every loving family, who made sure she felt nothing but the love and tenderness she had always shown them.
JoAnn Miller was born February 7, 1942 in Winnemucca, Nevada. At 19, JoAnn met and fell in love with her handsome soul mate, a cowboy from Paradise, Nevada, Paul D. Miller. Together they had 53 beautiful years of a truly inspiring relationship. They laughed, they cried, they fought, they had adventures, they had mishaps, but most of all, they loved.
JoAnn and Paul went from happy newlyweds to proud mother and father with the arrival of their three beautiful sons, George, Doug, and Stacy. They were happy, healthy, and spirited boys, who kept JoAnn’s hands very full. In 1991 JoAnn and Paul went from being mom and dad to being Ami and Papa. Eventually they had 8 very loved and spoiled grandchildren.
Ami was a very special woman. She was a hunter, fisherman, and all around happy camper. She could tell a dirty joke better than the best of them. She was a phenomenal cook, and loved to golf. She was patient, kind, warm and full of love for many people and things, but mostly for her family. JoAnn was strong, courageous, fierce and one of the most beautiful women, with a contagious smile that would always light up a room.
Ami used to always say, “If you love someone, tell them.” So her family reminds you, if you want to honor the beautiful life she lived, take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, parent, or friend, or simply walk in the woods for a moment, an hour a day. Time waits for no one.
JoAnn Miller is survived by her husband, Paul D. Miller, Mother Marguerite Laca Fagg, Brother Ron (Phylliss) Fagg, children George (Jaci) Miller, Doug (Lori) Miller and Stacy (Betty) Miller, as well as grandchildren Lauren Miller, Jake Maga, Kenadee Miller, Megan Miller, Grant Miller, Chris Miller, Bodi Miller, Mallory Miller, Hailey Wegman, nephews Dennis Acorda, Joe Bidaurreta, Arlen Fagg and niece Lori Fagg Phillips.
Rest in Peace, Ami
