Stannard wins Doug Maddox memorial junior golf tournament

Trevor Stannard won the Doug Maddox memorial junior golf tournament held Wednesday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course with a 6-over par 78. More than 40 junior golfers competed in the tournament.

Kobe Stoker (96) was second, and Will Kracaw and Dillon Patterson tied for fourth at 101. Zane Fifield and Dalton Irons each shot 102 and Steven Bosch carded a 103.

Tatyana Carlson shot 103 to lead the way in the girls 14- to 17-year-old division.

Rian DeLong shot a 45 for nine holes to win the boys 11- to 13-year-old group and Shea Brown and Tyler Neu were second at 47. Tyler Piquet (48) was fourth and Hunter Mullins and Gianni Giordano each shot 56. Michael Casalez shot a 57 and Cal Peters finished with a 59.

Jaden Jiminez won the 10 and under age group with a round of 50. Jack DeLong was second at 57 and Luis Mendoza was third at 59. John Boyle (61) placed fourth and Bryan Songer (68) fifth.

In the girls 11- to 13-year-old division, Lily Landt was first with a score of 45 and Megan Li was second at 49.

Angelina Martinez (57) was third, Tea Novi (63) fourth and Adia Bengochea (67) and Peyton Jo Cassinelli (77) were fifth and sixth, respectively.

In the girls 10 and under division, Marquette Cassinelli won with a 66, and Katelyn Cassinelli and Greta Layton tied for second at 74. Paris Castillo was fourth with an 83.
