Born to Janice & Stanley Smart of Fort McDermitt, Nevada he is preceded in death by his father; brothers, Clale Northrup, Danley Northrup, Stanley Smart Jr., Erwin Smart, Edmund Smart, Lyman Smart, Standford Smart, Ferlin Smart, Chan Catches; Sisters, Janelda Harney, Janlyn S. Cagle, Imogene S. Thomas; maternal grandparents, Birdie Crutcher Smart and Leland Smart; paternal grand-parents, Eileen Northrup Smart and Raymond Smart; maternal aunt, Yendita Smart Bitt; and maternal uncles, Larry Smart and Hugh Smart; paternal aunts, Myra J. Smart, Georgiana S. Dave.
Lindell is survived by son Alec Dave, common-law wife, Florence Sam; his mother Janice and brothers, Tex Northrup, Earl Northrup, Myron Smart, Leland Smart, Everette Jim and Erman Smart from Fort McDermitt, Dakota Smart, Owyhee, Nevada and Cameron Smart, Reno, Nevada; sisters, Eloura S. Rogers of Yerington, Nevada, Jody Smart, and Idell Crutcher of Fort McDermitt and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Traditional funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July, 23, 2015 at the Smart Family Home, House #5, North Road on the Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation with interment at the Fort McDermitt Cemetery. Brunch/Lunch will be served beginning at 10:00 a.m. and again after interment.
