Reverend Jared Edward “J-Rod” Kraintz, age 35, entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, on Thursday, July 16, 2015.
Jared came into this world on Easter Sunrise morning, April 6, 1980, in Bakersfield, California, to Reverend John and Priscilla Kraintz. From the moment he started walking and talking he always wanted to make people laugh and have fun. Jared was kind, loving, forgiving, and accepting to all that he came into contact with. He was always ready to help anyone in the time of need. He never held a grudge.
He is survived by his brothers, Joshua, Micah, and Luke; Sister-in laws Marcie, Jennifer, and Suzi; five nieces, Elyse, Olivia, Emma, Lily, and Eden; two nephews, Ethan and Jude.
Jared lived in Winnemucca, Nevada for thirteen years before moving to Elko, Nevada with his family where he graduated from Spring Creek High School in 1999. After his high school graduation, he graduated from Trinity Bible College with a Ministerial Degree majoring in Music and the Bible. He received his certificate of Ministry from Northern California Nevada District on October 17, 2011.
Jared started his music career at age four singing at church. At age sixteen, Jared took the Minister of Worship position at Elko Assembly of God. Jared also worked for Humboldt Human Development Services for ten years providing daily living assistance to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. For the last two and a half years, he worked part-time at Ross Dress for Less.
