Casey Don Yowell, a resident of Winnemucca, Nevada, died unexpectedly on July 18, 2015 at the age of 32.
Casey is survived by his parents, Russell and Cori Yowell; his wife, Alexandra Nichole Yowell [Morris]; his son, Kayden Don Yowell; his brother, Chad Michael Yowell; his in-laws, Skeeter and Debi Morris; his grandmother, Cloe Lewis; his grandfather, Donald L. Lewis. His grandparents, Don D. and Twila Yowell, preceded him in death.
Casey was born in Pocatello, Idaho on July 14, 1983 to Russ and Cori Yowell. Casey attended school in Pocatello through the sixth grade until his family moved to Winnemucca. He went to Winnemucca Junior High and graduated from Lowery High School. Casey married Nikki Morris and they welcomed their son, Kayden, the most important part of his life.
Casey was an amazingly devoted father and husband. He was a natural born athlete and loved that his son followed in his footsteps. He hiked, biked, golfed and did everything together with his family at any opportunity. Casey was known for his infectious smile. He lit up any place he walked into. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of meeting him.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25th at the Winnemucca Junior High School, 451 Reinhart St. The interment will follow the service at the Winnemucca Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Sonoma Funeral Home, Winnemucca, NV. 775-623-2986
There will be a potluck barbeque following the service at Russ and Cori’s, at 6610 Lariat Ct. Winnemucca, NV.
