Marilyn Hill born July 23, 1935, passed away July 14, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was raised by Ollie and George Williams along with her sister, Fran, in Winnemucca, Nevada.
After earning her Beautician’s License, Marilyn owned and operated her own salon in Winnemucca for several years before marrying Larry Hill and moving to Orovada. There she continued to offer her beautician services to the women of the community.
She found joy being with her family and friends and enjoying a country life. Marilyn was a very talented gardener and it showed in the beautiful yard she created around her home. Knitting was a favorite hobby of hers. She knitted love into the many gloves, hats, scarves, slippers and booties made for loved ones.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Ollie Williams, and her beloved son, Ronnie Quilici.
She is survived by her husband, and best friend of 38 years, Larry Hill, her sister Fran Jayo, son, Mike and wife Susie Quilici, daughter Donna and husband Leo Harrer, grandchildren Stephen Quilici, Joseph and Nikki Quilici, Tyson and Tess Ellis, Josh Harrer, Gavin and Amber Quilici, Hunter and Macie Quilici; great grandchildren Mylee Quilici, McKenzie Ellis, Maddy Quilici, and Pippa Quilici.
Marilyn fought a courageous battle against cancer for the past 26 years; she will be missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
