The Winnemucca 13-14-year-old Little League Junior All-Stars will be traveling to Fernley this weekend for the District 3 Tournament.
High Desert is the host and Elko, Walker River (Yerington) and Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek) are also competing in the event.
Winnemucca takes on Ruby Mountain at 10 a.m. Saturday. Elko and Walker River is the other first round match-up on Saturday at 5:30 p.m..
If Winnemucca defeats Ruby Mountain, they will play Fernley on Sunday at 8 p.m. If Winnemucca loses they will play the loser of Elko and Walker River on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
The tournament runs through Wednesday, July 15, with the championship game set for 5:30 p.m. If needed an if game will be played at 8 p.m. on July 15.
The winner advances to the state tournament in Las Vegas.
