Obituary: Trina Lynn Mizell Cardoza

Trina Lynn Mizell Cardoza, 49, of Battle Mountain, NV. went to be with the Lord on November 14th, 2015. She was born in Sacramento, California on June 21st, 1966, daughter of Alicia Smith-Cox and Frank Mizell.

Trina was dedicated to her job at the Owl Club, as she loved it like a second home and family. She enjoyed the simple things in life; laughing and making others laugh and to lend a helping hand. She was most passionate about all of her grandkids and being “Memaw”. Her friendliness, helping hands, and loving heart to her family and friends is a tribute to the beauty of her own heart and soul. Her contagious smile and laugh will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She rests in Heaven with grandparents Mildred and Ivor Smith, Daisy and Buck Cox, and Amy When and John Mizell, 2 uncles; Johnny and Pat Mizell, Aunt Patsy Mizell, Aunt Pat Smith, Father in law Anthony Cardoza, step-mother Carol Mizell, and grandson Broden Benavidez.

She is survived by both of her parents Alicia Smith-Cox and husband Jerry of Oregon, and Frank Mizell and wife Lynn of California. She is also survived by one of her biggest prides and loves, her husband Mathew Cardoza of Nevada, her sister Kim Eder and husband Darwyn of Oregon, her 5 children Michael Kemry of Oregon, David Kemry and wife Jen, Kimberly Cardoza and husband Jarrod, Brandon Cardoza, and Tyler Cardoza and wife Kara, all of Nevada. Also her uncle Arlan Smith and wife Carol of Idaho, uncle Ron Smith and wife Debbie of California, uncle Kenny Mizell, mother in law Patsy Robnett of Oregon, and her many loved grandkids she cherished so much, and multiple cousins and a nephew.

A celebration of life will be held December 6th, 2015 in Battle Mountain Nevada at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church, with a potluck to follow at the Civic Center.
