Amy Burton Geelhoed, 89, of Menlo Park, CA, died August 19, 2015, at Stanford Medical Center.
Amy was born April 6, 1926, in Round Mountain, Nevada, to Bob and Nora Hall Burton.
Amy was married to Marcius Geelhoed for many years. She lived most of her life in San Francisco where she enjoyed the city life. Amy loved what the city had to offer such as fine dining, dancing, theatre, opera’s, and of course the ocean. Her home was always there for her family when they would visit or stay for schooling.
Amy retired from Sears Roebuck in the accounting department.
Amy is survived by her sisters and brother: Rose Duncan, Pearl Berry, Betty Koska, Gloria Jean Cookson, and Jack Burton. There are also many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. Amy is preceded in death by her father, Bob Burton and mother, Nora Hall Burton, sisters, Irene Weiss, Reenie Burgess, brothers, Bobby, Robert, James, Billy, and Russell Burton and husband Marcius Geelhoed.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at Battle Mountain Cemetery in Battle Mountain, NV.
