Irven James “Jim” Thew, age 73, passed away on August 12, 2015 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
He was born February 2, 1942 in Hamilton City, California to Ulysses Simpson and Pauline May Nelson Thew.
Irven had lived in Lovelock, NV since 2006, coming there from Las Vegas to retire. He had also lived in Reno, NV from 1971 until moving to Las Vegas in 1989. He worked many years as a concrete foreman in the Construction business.
Irven was also a 50 year member of the FOE #2728 in Orland, CA. He loved hunting, fishing and working.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Lovelock, NV; son, Curtis J. Thew (Jodi) of Whitefish, MT; 4 grandchildren, Nina, Blaine, CJ and Jayke; stepdaughters, Anita Noble and Yvonne Baker, stepson, Ralph Wiser III (Donna) of Reno, NV, and his beloved Katie Dog.
Irven was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
