Battle Mountain High School will be opening its new football stadium on Friday with a non-conference game vs. White Pine. Game times are 4:30 p.m. for the junior varsity and the varsity is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. If anyone interested in touring the facility, there will be an opportunity at 1:30 p.m. to do so.

The Longhorns are scheduled to play just three home games this year and will face Yerington on Oct. 9 and Pershing County on Oct. 16. Playoff games are possible on Nov. 6 and Nov. 14. The first home soccer match is not scheduled until Friday, Oct. 2, when the Lady Longhons face Pershing County.
