The Humboldt County School District Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 4:30 p.m. at the district office boardroom. Trustees will discuss and possibly act on the following items:
• The School Board will hear a trip request for Denio School to travel to Fields Elementary School on Oct. 29, Dec. 17, Jan. 11, and Feb. 18 to participate in several writing project from Kelly Novi.
• Superintendent Dave Jensen will do a presentation on the ACT scores from Humboldt County.
• The board will go over the second reading of the grade acceleration policy.
• The board will go over the second reading of the policy prohibiting bullying and cyberbullying.
• The board will review Legislative Statures and discuss potential board action that is required.
• The board will review options for housing the adult education program with the recommendation to place within the existing PASS building.
• The board will have another closed session to discuss negotiations pursuant to NRS 288.220.
