The first signs of fall are here, as the Lowry High School football team hit the field for the first time this week with non-contact drills. The Buckaroos varsity squad is under the direction of first-year head coach Taua Cabatbat, who replaced Tim Billingsley. Nearly 100 student-athletes have turned our for the three combined teams. Lowry will see its first action on the field at home against Elko on Saturday, Aug. 22, in a scrimmage at 10 a.m. The Buckaroos begin the regular season at home on Friday, Sept. 4, against Fernley.
