Obituary: Earl Lee Watford

1933 — 2015

Earl Lee Watford, 81, of Winnemucca passed from this life on August 4, 2015 at Humboldt General Hospital.

Earl was born on August 20, 1933 in Dykes, Florida, to Joseph and Alma Watford. After graduating from High School in Florida, Earl joined The United States Air Force and proudly served his country from 1951 to 1972. He served in both the Korean and Viet Nam wars as a machinist, building and repairing air craft. After leaving the Air Force he went to work for Kiser Aviation using the skills he had learned as an aviation machinist. Following his retirement Earl moved to Paradise Valley, NV. On December 9, 1999 he married Betty Sigston and they later made their home in Winnemucca.

Earl and Betty loved to travel and garden. He dearly enjoyed animals, especially their Boxers and cats. Earl was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and had served as Chaplin.

Earl is survived by his wife Betty Watford of Winnemucca; daughter Angela (Scott) Clark and grandson Steven Turley of Winnemucca, NV; step son Paul (Kim) Sigston and children, Alec, Melanie and Emilee of Meridian, ID.
