Andrew Dale Tilton Jr., 48, died July 31, 2015 at his home in Winnemucca surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Andrew was born on March 3, 1967 in Ukiah, CA to Andrew D. and Henrietta Tilton. He graduated from high school in Rock Springs, Wyoming then joined the Army National Guard and served in Operation Bright Star from 2001 to 2002. He moved to Winnemucca and married his true love Rhonda Turner and started a family.
He worked for Newmont Mining for 25 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. During his off time he enjoyed going shooting, hunting, fishing, riding horses, family activities, video games and playing with his granddaughters.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rhonda Tilton; daughters Audrina Mason and Destanee Tilton; granddaughters Aleeah and Danika Landeros and Sage Freeman all of Winnemucca, NV. His parents Andrew Dale Tilton Sr. and Henrietta J. Dukes; brothers Ronald Dukes and Josh Tilton; sister Jessica Tilton; and grandparents Gene and Gladis Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Emmalee Landeros.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of Harmony Manor, Hospice, Genisis Home Health, Newmont Mining and Golden Valley Medical Center.
Grave side services will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015, at 2:00 pm in the Winnemucca Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Sonoma Funeral Home. 775-623-2986
The family wishes to invite everyone to a potluck BBQ after the service at the Tilton home where everyone can celebrate Andrews life.
