LOVELOCK - Brandon Zile was Pershing County Middle School Student of the Week for the week of May 13 - May 16.

This is what one of his teachers, Kathleen Hancock, had to say about him.

"Brandon is one of the nicest people I have met. He is kind and helpful to everyone. Even though he is really quiet he has a great sense of humor and laughs at my jokes. He is prepared for class and helps those who need help with their work. It has been a pleasure to have him in track this year. He is a hard worker and willing to do any event to help the team. It is a pleasure to nominate him for student of the month."

LOVELOCK - Michelle Ortega was Pershing County Middle School Student of the Week for the week of May 6 - May 9. This is what one of her teachers, Lisa Pontius, had to say about her.

"Michelle has shown a remarkable work ethic this semester - not just completing all her work, but trying to do her best each and every assignment in all of her classes. Her grades are the best they have ever been, and she is justifiably proud of herself. She brightens everyone's day with her cheerful grin and her helpful attitude. Michelle is always willing to help out any adult in the building, as well as lend her fellow students a hand when needed."
