WPD responds to weekend shooting

Winnemucca Police arrested a man Saturday night who allegedly shot a woman in the hand. Police made the arrest after responding to a domestic violence call. The WPD was dispatched at 11:45 p.m. on July 27 and upon arrival, officers found a woman with a possible gunshot to her hand.

After an investigation by WPD detectives, Justin Moore was arrested for domestic battery with the use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm, mayhem, and three counts of child abuse/endangerment. Bail was set at $182,280.

The woman was treated on the scene by EMS, and was later transported to Humboldt General Hospital for the injury to her left hand.[[In-content Ad]]
