WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca Police Department responded to the Model T Casino on Sunday at approximately 6:20 p.m. for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the victim, a female adult, was not seriously injured, according to a press release from the WPD. The officers' investigation determined that the female victim had been involved in a verbal argument, with her significant other, which had resulted in the female getting out of the motor vehicle. The male suspect allegedly struck the victim with the front of his car, causing minor injuries to the victim.
According to the police department press release, the suspect in this case fled the scene, in his car, prior to the arrival of WPD personnel. The vehicle used is described as a silver 2006 Buick 4-door car.
The female victim in this case refused medical attention and was put in contact with a domestic violence advocate, the WPD reported.
The Winnemucca Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating the suspect. If anyone sees this vehicle, do not approach, call for law enforcement assistance.
