WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Flying J Truck Plaza in the early morning hours of March 6.
The robbery occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male adult in his mid-twenties.
From surveillance footage it is apparent that the suspect enters the casino area of the Flying J, goes to the rear of the casino and then returns to the cash/change counter. Once there he uses his left hand to brandish what appears to be a black semi-automatic pistol.
The suspect demanded that the cashier produce all the cash in her register. Once the cashier complied with the suspect's demands, he took the cash and fled the area eastbound on foot.
