Community members are invited to gather on Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Park for World Peace and Prayer Day.
World Peace and Prayer Day is also known as Honoring Sacred Sites Day and was envisioned and brought forth by Chief Looking Horse as a day to join world-wide communities and people of all races, ages, genders and faiths, who share concern for the welfare of the Earth and humanity.
Unity through prayer
We have come to a cross-roads in our evolution on this planet, when it is vital, despite our differences, to unify our minds and our hearts for the well-being of all. For this reason World Peace and Prayer Day is actively bringing people together.
The Winnemucca event is free and will include guest speakers representing the diversity of our community, songs of faith and a candlelight vigil in honor of World Peace.
Please bring your own chairs or blankets for seating and beverages. Alcohol not permitted.
Anyone wishing to speak or present local information regarding relevant issues or for more information please call Teresa Dini at (775) 304-6496.
Everyone welcome; let our voices be heard.[[In-content Ad]]
